Almost There is a good ol' fashioned rock trio from Asbury Park, NJ. The group is led by dual frontmen Ed Soles and Zach Sicherman on guitar and bass, and backed by drummer Mike "Seahawk" Lucchetti. The combination produces an original blend of uptempo, melodic, alternative rock with hints of many other genres ranging from punk to reggae. The band's ability to arrange and execute tight two-part harmonies and syncopated rhythms makes them really stand out from others in the genre.

Ed and Zach have a long musical history together spanning the last 12 years. They began by covering Blink 182 and Greenday songs during their freshman year of high school, but soon began writing countless originals. During their years together in high school, their pop-punk band RDX played over 100 shows, gaining valuable stage experience and group chemistry.

The band Almost There began in 2005, after Zach was asked to form a group to play a Hurricane Katrina benefit show. The group originally consisted of a few local musicians, but Ed and Zach remained a driving force, and are the only original members to stand the test of time.

By 2006, Ed and Zach were both teaching guitar and bass full-time at Shore Music Academy. Combined, they taught over 80 students a week. They also enlisted in music classes at Brookdale Community College, where they received higher education in music theory and ear training, including multiple semesters of voice classes with Juilliard graduate Keith Heimann.

In 2008 they went into the studio with producer Jesse Cannon to record their first EP. They soon released "Audio Takeover," a five-song CD, and Cannon introduced the band to drummer Phill Serzan, who would drum for Almost There for the next three years.

The band then wrote their follow-up EP "Losing Someone To Find Yourself," and in September 2009, went back to Jesse Cannon to record. After releasing the album in April 2010, they won a contest with Myspace Records for a trip to record in Los Angeles at Pulse Recording with producers Jon Pikus and Ryan Williams.

Almost There recorded their "Silver Lake" EP, a three-song demo, in LA that summer. Within a week of returning from the west coast, the band won a major radio competition with 95.9 WRAT earning them regular air-play as well as an opening slot at Ratfest 2010 at PNC Bank Arts Center.

Early in 2011, the band decided to start writing their first full-length album. The album, called "Abandon The Sinking Ship," included the three tracks from "Silver Lake" as well as nine new songs recorded at Overlook Studios with producer Bruce Wiegner in September 2011.

Shortly after recording the album, the band parted ways with Phill. After just one rehearsal with drummer Mike Lucchetti, Almost There had found its replacement. Mike, winner of the 2007 Warped Tour Drum-Off, had not only touring and studio experience, but the chemistry and friendship was very apparent.

With an amazing new drummer and the band finally feeling complete, the boys have been hard at work rehearsing and writing. "Abandon The Sinking Ship" was released March 23, and Almost There continues to tour as much as possible. Ed and Zach have nearly 70 acoustic covers posted on their YouTube page, and Mike has many drum covers on his. The band has an ever-growing fan base, and will not be stopped!!
